Mikaela Holland, B.S in Kinesiology, MPH in Community health education
I received my BS in Kinesiology and Public Health and my MPH in Community Health Education from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, where I also spent five years competing as a NCCA DI athlete on the Women’s Rowing Team. Prior to working in research at UC Berkeley, I have been a coach, outdoor educator, and childcare provider. So, it’s safe to say, I love kids, the outdoors, and promoting and supporting joyous movement! Outside of work, I am a dancer, reader, and dog lover who delights in spreading love, positivity, and laughter through community oriented music and dance. I also volunteer at a correctional facility in Vacaville, CA and encourage anyone interested to get involved with the prisons in their community. There are benefits to both sides of the fence when we are reminded of each other’s humanity.
