Betsey Noth, MPH, PhD, CIH
The focus of my research career is developing and implementing methods to assess exposure for epidemiologic studies. During my doctoral work, I worked exclusively on environmental health exposure assessment in the San Joaquin Valley. During my postdoctoral training, my field of study broadened to include occupational exposure assessment because of my concern for the very high concentrations that workers are exposed to such air pollutants as particulate matter, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, fluorides, and more. As a researcher at UCB, I contribute and lead significant projects in both environmental and occupational health exposure research. I have been engaged in air pollution research in Fresno since joining the FACES study team in 2002.
